I had only given her a tiny piece! an amount so small that a larger hamster wouldn't even be able to taste it! But the thing is... Dwarf Hamsters Are Very Sensitive Creatures Chocolate is actually TOXIC to hamsters (a fact that has been burned into my mind since) but a piece small enough to only get a typical hamster sick could easily kill a dwarf hamster. In fact, there are many 'normal' foods that are perfectly fine for regular hamsters but would make a dwarf hamster downright ill.
Many owners make the mistake of treating dwarf hamsters like they would larger hamsters. But the fact of the matter is, dwarf hamsters require highly specialized care.
