At the time I first read it, I was working as a private investigator and I decided to find out if his stories were actually true. In my efforts to find Jennings, I spoke with Robin Moore, who told me that Jennings had unfortunately died a few years earlier in a commercial airplane crash in Istanbul, while on the trail of one of the greatest treasures of his career.
