Title: Einstein's Cat
Author: Tom Skinner
From lettuce and martial arts movies to deeper philosophical musings, the cunning poetry in Einstein's Cat, focuses on a mixed-bag of topics that older girls and boys can relate to and enjoy reading about.
For its intended 8 to 15 year old reader, Einstein's Cat is a highly palatable feast of down-to-earth poetic observations gleaned from Tom Skinner's past and present life experiences.
In one instance, Skinner muses on a deep exploration of rocket lettuce, butter lettuce and other curiously-named varieties. Why are they named what they are named? This silly lettuce name delving is sure to elicit giggles and smiles from young readers.
Other poems, like 'Stop and Smell the (Grumpy) Roses' are thoughtful, inquisitive observations on life that are deceptively simple on the surface but complex enough to reasonate on a multitude of levels - emotional, literary, and philosophical - as your child transitions into adulthood.
Einstein's Cat is one cat that will never get old: it's a timeless poetry collection without an expiration date.

Title: One Hundred Poems of Tukaram
Author: Chandrakant Kaluram Mhatre
One Hundred Poems of Tukaram is a collection of selected peosm of Sant Tukaram, the greatest poet from India whose poetry finely blends worldly wisdom with spirituality. It is translated into English from original Marathi by Chandrakant Kaluram Mhatre, a bi-lingual poet and writer of short fiction. The book also contains an extensive introduction byt the translator which contextualises and elaborates upon Tukaram's poetic art. The range of the poems in this collection will delight readers of all ages and all dispositions, but that's the least what this book does to its readers: it illuminates their lives by giving them new perspectives on life hitherto unknown to them; it feels them with an optimism that strives for the well-being and happiness not only of the humankind but of the life in its entirety; it shows them the path towrds Oneness with the entire creation. Tukaram's poems hold a distinct charm over their readers by lingering in their mind long after the book has been read and kept aside, thus nurturing their soul and maturing their mind.
Title: The Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam - Balfour Edition
Author: Omar Khayyam - Norman Clark
The Rubaiyat is one of the most popular poems in the world, due no doubt to its soaring imagery, as illustrated by the renowned first quatrain:
Awake! to Morning in the Bowl of Night
Has flung the Stone that puts the Stars to Flight:
And Lo! the Hunter of the East has caught
The Sultan's Turret in a Noose of Light.
Edward FitzGerald’s first translation was published in 1859 and subsequent editions have been illustrated perhaps more than any other book. Starting with the Elihu Vedder edition of 1884, the turning of the 20th century was a heyday for lavish editions illustrated by the most accomplished book illustrators of the time. Only the best possible papers were used and illustrated plates were often printed separately and 'tipped in' or loosely pasted onto the page. By their nature, print runs were often small and the books expensive. Books such as these and, particularly, the Balfour edition of the Rubaiyat, are extremely scarce. Of those readers who love the poem as I do, few will have the chance to see a copy of Balfour’s edition and even less will ever read it.
The aim of this project, and subsequent projects to follow, is to redress the balance somewhat by bringing beautifully illustrated limited edition books to a wider audience. Digital editions give us the chance to reproduce colour; enhance illustrations, emulate typestyle and layout exactly as in the original limited print edition.

Title: Modern Day Japanese Haiku
Author: Denise Morgan
Besides painting and writing fiction, another of my passions is poetry... especially raw, free verse, without rhyming. However, I just love writing haikus! Traditional Japanese Haiku, pronounced high-koo, or, some language connoisseur of accents actually pronounce it, 'ha-ku', is a short poem of seventeen syllables in three lines of five, seven, five, usually inspired by the observation of the natural world. Modern Day Japanese Haiku has kept close to the structure and essence of a traditional haiku but in some of the haiku poems, stray away from the natural world as its main subject. Modern Day Japanese Haiku, give meaning to the insignificant and the mundanities of everyday life which provokes an emotional reaction. Of the one-hundred-and-seventy-two or so haikus in this amazing and tantalizing poetry book, some are thought provoking, comical, sensual, erotic, silly... a few mind-blowing.
Here are a few below for you to sample and enjoy.
Inflated by love
Deflated by rejection
He and I are one,
the other face of the mask-

Title: Our Pride & Our Joy
Author: Richard Nurse
Our Pride & Our Joy, is a story in verse, accompanied by numerious candid photographs about the feral cat community that had adopted us, as we have adopted them in return. A true two-way street story, as we provide them with food and shoulder, and in return, they have given us back hours of joy, laughter, and from some love returned.
Led by an Alpha male, who looked more like a small lion than a domestic cat, and his primary mate of over 4 years, simply known as Mommy. The community suddenly blossomed in size last year, as every one of the cats from Mommy's litters the year before were female.
The story begins in April of 2014, as we were treated to the first two of at least six different litters of at least 5 kittens each. It was like we had been transported from a normal surban US location onto the site of wild kingdom. The pride's interactions were almost exactly like a pride of lions in the wild.
Read the story to experience the workings of this pride of feral cats, and their leader. Street Fighter, a battle scared vetren, and his band of girls, who truly cared for him, treating him when wounded in a fight, and greeting him when he approached or lounged close to me on my porch.
A pride of cats, that I call my children, many of whom are more interested in being petted by me in the morning than diving into the food bowl that I have brought them. I consider my home a cat ranch now, with 7 living... Click here to read the full description!
Title: Sing to me of words
Author: Kimberly DuBoise
My poetry book, Sing to me of words, is a very emotional, introspective look into faith, love, spiritual growth, self growth/ My poems are about seeking the divine and finding your own personal truth. It is like a chronicle of exploration. This book of poems defintiely has a devotional aspect to it. I do have ten 5* reviews on amazon which really makes me feel blessed. I want my writing to touch others, to impact their understanding of themselves. I aim to inspire and awaken with my writing. This book is very much a reflection of awareness of how sacred we are and life is. I hope this book reaches those who feel inspired by words and quotes, who resonate with self-reflection and growth. I am planning to write a second poetry book which I hope to have out this year. However, this collection comes from part of my life journey whichlead me to becoming an author. I think the poems in this book will touch many people and offer inspiration as well as be a source of uplifting. The favorite poems in this book from reviewers have also been mine!
