Parkinson's disease all in one place...

From: Lianna Marie

Dear friend,

f you, or person you love, suffers from Parkinson's disease, then this is going to be one of the most important letters you'll ever read.

   Here's why:

There's a lot of story and information floating about just about this disease.

Plus, most of the authoritative answers are written in medical language that you need a medical degree to understand.

You shouldn't need to be confused just about Parkinson's just because you didn't go to medical school.

You merit to have all the information you need in one place, written in an easy-to-understand everyday language that won't confuse you. Why should you be defeated in your attempt to find relevant and important information?

(As if having Parkinson's unwellness or caring for person with the unwellness wasn't challenging enough.)

Well, I'd like to share with you my experience which wish help you a lot. So...

"This Is My Story"

Hi, my name is Lianna Marie and back in 1991 my parent Val was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease. Gratuitous to say, the family was devastated.

We had no idea what Parkinson's Illness was or what was in store for her, or how it would-be affect her life. We instantly began to ask questions such as...

Me and my mom Val
  • How more time did she have before it would-be drastically impact and change her life?

  • Would she still be able to live a "normal" life... to be able to walk or dance or keep on playing the piano? (playing the piano is one of her greatest joys in life)

  • Was she going to die earlier than normal because of the Parkinson's???

  • ... and on and on ...

These were just several of the questions we just didn't cognize the answers to. This led to despair, sadness and a crushing fear of the unknown.

I mean, wherever should we go from here? What should we do next?

I Must Admit We Ready-made Several Mistakes...

We did several things wrong because we just didn't cognize any better. I actually wanted to help my mother. This was an emergency situation for me and sometimes we're not our better in emergencies.

I instantly and frantically started to research any and everything I could find on Parkinson's.

I checked the bookstores ... searched the computer network ... and spoke to as galore folk as possible just about how they coped with the unwellness and what worked for them.

I urgently wanted to help my Mom and nothing was too more to do if I thought it would-be lead to finding several useful information.

After hundreds of hours searching, I began to find the answers and discovered things like:

  • How to overcome the fear and despair of Parkinson's

  • How to slow down its progress and reduce the severity of symptoms

  • How to get your confidence back and maintain your independence for as long as possible

  • How to create a sense of well being and serenity in your life

It's taken me hundreds of hours of reading and research to numbers out all this information and transform them into helpful and practical tips.

Now, over sixteen years later, you can't even as begin to imagine how more much my mom knows just about how to feel better, cope more effectively, be more productive and start every day filled with hope and optimism.

Here's my mom Val and
her husband Dave

Her medications are working fine and her symptoms have lessened.

She still plays the piano (Oh Danny Boy is her favorite), spends lots of time puttering about in her garden and loves to travel.

She even as goes out dance every now and then.

Don't get me wrong. Living with Parkinson's is still a frustrating challenge at times, but overall, she lives a healthy, happy and productive life.

Best of all, her Parkinson's hasn't slowed her down as more as we 1st feared.

   Thank God!

Until you realize you CAN take back control of your life in spite of Parkinson's Disease, you won't cognize just how alleviated and peaceful you can feel.

One day I was chatting with my mom and she mentioned how more easier, happier and more peaceful her life would-be have been if she had acknowledged just about these things sixteen years ago.

This ready-made me realize that there are lots of folk who've been living with Parkinson's for a while, or who have recently been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, who could actually benefit from this same information.

What you are doing with trying to get information out there is great. I applaud your efforts. I talk to folk on a regular basis now that have been fighting PD for years and I have found these folk to be several the better inspirations you could ever come across.
