Swimming pools are thing normally found in Southwest Florida, wherever I reside, so once veteran author Lynda Coats came out with her new unit study on this topic I was really interested.

What a find! This study contains all kinds of information, links, and is more than simply a security manual. Piece she has several great website links on safety, what actually intrigued me was the conscientiousness of this unit.

It has always daunted me that material written for children on caring for the environment are always filled with New Age, and Parent Nature nonsense. This unit study is the answer to that problem. It approaches protection of the environment from the Christian perspective as the job of those selected by God to have dominion over the Earth. Thus, students discover respect and the need to care for the Earth without the New Age tones.

In the Swim for School

The above sentence is a quote from one of the galore poems of my new favorite poet, Edna St. Vincent Millay. There is more simply about her that is not appealing to me. She lived a life style that none who claim the name of Christ could approve; she is decidedly not a role model for our children. If I had acknowledged her personally, we would-be not have been likely friends. However, in her poetry, she speaks my language. Galore of her verses, like the one above, express the deep cry of my heart right now.

I can feel what she felt; I can relate to what she is saying. I can besides feel great sorrow for her, knowing that she did not have the comfort of the Lord in the way that we do. Although she spoke of God, it was ne'er as the admiring Savior or Father, but only as the power of the universe.

I do not cognize the circumstances of these writings of hers, but I am quite sure that she experienced, or at least, understood, the grief of losing person close— the pain that ne'er wholly goes away — the hole that is left in your heart forever. Unfortunately for her, she may not have acknowledged the Savior who answers her dilemma. He does cognize ‘why’ and He is ever available to help those who love Him to understand it as well. Life goes on, because He is in control. His plans are far above our plans, but they are perfect for us.

When we lean on Him He will direct our paths. We can be sure that our life wish go on under His blessed wings, There is no better place to be.

I’m happy to announce that we wish be active in the annual Say What You Mean Convention in February. This encouraging online event is free, and I think you’ll be blessed by what you discover during its three days.

My precious Lauren is house in the arms of Jesus. There is no more pain no
more suffering. We give thanks you for your prayers for all these months.

Rejoice with us in what his life meant to so many. The service in

Lauren (my dh) has gone downhill drastically. His blood pressure this too low to be detectable by traditional methods. He is only semi-conscious on occasion, but does cognize us and speak to us once he is.

The hospice medical personnel did not expect him to live through last night , but he is still hanging in there 24 hours later. His internal organs do appear to be closing down, so it wish not likely be long before he leaves this world. Please pray for comfort and peace for all of us.

“Our roller coaster ride may not be over yet, but for now, the Lord has alleviated us to a safe landing at home. Lauren seems to be feeling better. He is breathing more easily more consistently, and his vital organ seem to be good. He sleeps a lot but it is a peaceful sleep not like it often was in the hospital. He wears out easily but enjoys having company. His better times are simply about 7 -10 AM and 6-8 PM. If you would-be like to call or move see him, try to schedule it during those times.

… We have besides received lots of cards, drawings and photos. Instead of putt them on the wall, he has distinct to use a album so he can hold it in his hands and look through his memories. He would-be like images enclosed with cards (or digitals sent separately) so he can match names to faces. We would-be like to give thanks all of you for flowers, cards, gifts, fiscal assistance, food, and all another kindnesses shown to us during this illness.”
