Why am I qualified to write Dogshows 101?

First, I have been involved with Showing dogs for over 20 years. I have bred 17 Champions and those Champions have continuing to produce Champion offspring. I have finished five of my own dogs to their Championship myself. I have judged at fun matches and put on my own "fun matches" at my training center. I have trained galore breeds. I have worked for galore years in the volunteer area of Search and Rescue and this requires that you train a dog really well to accept all kinds of unusual situations. I have besides run a boarding kennel for more than 10 years and this once again requires a cognition of galore several breeds and how to deal with galore several temperaments.

Second, I have found out the hard way how to win in the Show Ring. Once I started I had ne'er stepped foot in a ring. I knowing from "scratch" and I DID do mistakes. I am qualified to tell you what to do and what NOT to do because of my experiences. And I cognize what great fun dog showing CAN be, and I want to pass on this information. Also I have besides schooled as a schoolroom teacher and Special Education teacher for over twenty years in public schools. I cognize how to teach!
