So you want to teach in Japan?

Well, you’re in for one hell of a ride!

Teaching here is not that hard but acquiring the most out of it can be tricky.

I’ve been at it for 12 years now and love it! Everything simply about it… The country, my clients/students, the food, etc…

Stay away from the forums simply about teaching in Japan wherever most of the messages are negative and filled with folk that couldn’t post a useful tip if their life depended on it. These are the same folk that go house after a year or two and brag simply about how they were living and working in Japan but once you ask how galore teaching seminars they’ve been to or how galore books they’ve see to improve their teaching skills, they laugh it off.

Here I’ll be sharing what works and what doesn’t for me which is invaluable for honest, hard working folk willing to roll up their sleeves and put in the time it’ll take to get the most from their stay in Japan.

This ESL activity is nice

If you’re teaching children, this activity can be used a lot.

As you can see in the short video clip, there is a white board with words at the top. There words are the same vocabulary from the student’s text book. “Let’s Go Phonics.”
