Dear Friend,
Re: Growing up or living in a dysfunctional house
My name is Jeff Morris and I'm a life coach. Piece the book you are simply about to see is fictional, it is based on real life experiences that I have had in my life. My childhood and adolescent years were turmultous, having full-grown up in a family house enclosed
with family members troubled
with alcoholism and drug addiction, as well with depression and suicide.
It's normal to feel isolated, and uneasy with another people, especially authority figures. There sometimes a sense of at hand trouble or danger as we do our way through life. To protect ourselves, we often live life satisfying another people's needs, rather than our own. Sometimes, we feel like we have lost our own identities in the process. Often, we feel like we are living life as an imposter, afraid that our true nature or faults, or flaws wish be discovered by our boss, our colleagues or family.
We have a higher risk of becoming dependent on alcohol, drugs, gambling or another habits, or we found ourself in relationships with folk who had those issues, or both. Failing that, we lost ourselves in our activity or another pastimes, fulfilling our own destiny of remaining lonely or detached from the world, and our own feelings of pain.
Sometimes we feel like we are a victim, and live life as such. Having an over developed sense of responsibility, we preferred to be concerned with others rather than satisfying our own inevitably and wants. As a result, we developed dependent personalities, sometimes afraid of abandonment, willing to do about thing
to hold on to a relationship, even as if it was not serving our needs. We support choosing insecure relationships because they matched our childhood relationship with our dysfunctional parents or family.
These symptoms ready-made us 'co-victims', those who take on the characteristics of the family disfunction without necessarily ever piquant in the annihilating behavior. We knowing that to survive as children, we had to support our feelings down and support them buried as adults.
