Hi,
my name is James Elliott and I've been surfboarding the Computer network since 1996.
In
that time I've seen a lot of scams and received a lot of spam email (I
presently
obtain simply about 100 per day).
What actually worries me simply about these scams is that they get BETTER
all the time, they discover what works and what doesn't.
Do these scams work? I have a degree and I've been tricked twice!
In
2003 I accidentally gave my ebay details to the Russian mafia! I
learnt the hard way and thought 'I'll ne'er
get caught again' but in
2007 I accidentally gave my brothers online dissipated account details to
Armenian scammers!!.
Some
times I felt like a real fool. The second time I felt even as
worse because I was writing my book on Cyberscams (and was nearly
finished) once
I gave away my brothers dissipated account, I
couldn't believe it! So why did it happen? Because I
didn't cognize what a scam looked like that targeted online dissipated
accounts! I now cognize what they look like and how they activity -

WRONG, WRONG, WRONG! The
secure server is safe, (in fact no secure server has been hacked into) - but
that is not the way scammers get your account details! They 'Phish' (I
explain the term in much detail in the book - or on my website) for your
details and if they trick you then YOU GIVE THEM your
password!
There is no need for them to hack the secure system to get
at your finances because they now have your password. |

Please don't actually do this though, you're only asking for legal trouble if
they call the police - the only reason I didn't call the authorities is because
I'm in Australia and he was in New Orleans, USA.
As for ebay - they are a target of no less than SEVENTEEN several
scams that I cognize of. I was an ebay powerseller for four years and I was
on the end of twelve of those scams, so it makes happen and happens often. |
You actually do need to look after yourself because
