I have the challenge of keeping moving in the face of debilitative creaky knees. Linda's Story
In Dec 06 I abraded my hip and after years of carrying babies on that hip the damage was serious. I could not come the hip joint off centre without appreciable pain. I had to lift the whole leg to roll left to right, could not even as get into a car with lifting the leg into position. I started physio but it was really painful, and as I have a pacemaker could not have electronic devises to stimulate the area.
I had been doing Fiona's Pilates program for a few months prior to the accident. I unbroken
up the Pilates, doubly a week and though I could not do any of the hip exercise without agonizing pain, at first, I found route to strengthen the area, with correct posture, not only in the class but throughout the day. Now 10 months down the track I have regained 90% movement in the hip area, my Physical therapist is astonied that I could accomplish this with Pilates movements.
My hip is now so strong that at 57 I am off tomorrow to walk for 20 days to Base Camp at Mount Everest!!
