Dietary Guidelines Show Need For Supplements

The aged and individuals with dark skin (because the ability to synthesize nutriment D from exposure to sunshine varies with degree of skin pigmentation) and folk who get really little exposure to sunshine (e.g., home-bound individuals) may need as more as 1,000 International Units per day to accomplish protective blood levels of the vitamin.
