Hong Kong, Apr 21, 2004 –The American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA) proclaimed now that the theme of its Earth Travel Congress in Hong Kong, Sept. 28-Oct. 3, wish be “Women in Travel: Influencing, Leading, Empowering.” ASTA besides proclaimed another exciting developments occurring at this year’s annual conference.
“There are so galore wonderful, authoritative women in the travel industry and I am excited
that ASTA is recognizing them through this important Congress theme,” aforesaid ASTA 2004 Earth Congress Chair-Hong Kong Bev Zukow, CTC. “Additionally, ASTA has been working hard to enhance Congress with several great new features this year.”
In keeping with the theme of this year’s Congress, Women in Travel: Influencing, Leading, Empowering, each general session wish feature a woman leader from a several segment of the travel industry.
Also new this year, the opening general session wish be combined with the host night dinner. The event wish be taking place on Sept. 28. The Hong Kong Touristry Board besides is hosting a second all-delegate function. The second event wish be control on Sept. 29 and wish feature the Sunset Harbor Cruise.
The Congress besides wish include business appointments that are being regular
during the trade show on Oct. 1. These meetings, during which time agents wish meet with pre-selected vendors and vendors wish meet with pre-selected attendees, wish give several buyers and sellers the chance to meet one-on-one and do long-lasting business connections.
ASTA besides wish be featuring seminar tracks sorted according to their subject matter, rather than by their target audience. This year’s tracks are: Luxury, National Touristry Organizations (NTO), Family, Exhibitor, Business/Technology and Honeymoon.
