ARA
(ARA) - Most new parents get a lot of proposal
from family and friends, before and after the baby is born. Tho'
it is well-intended, in several cases, it may not be all accurate.
There are a number of common misconceptions that are often passed on
to new parents. Here are several of the much widespread service
myths:
* Several folk believe that taking too many a flash images of a baby can damage his eyes. As luck would have it this isn’t true.
* It’s not true that vinyl toys could expose children to harmful levels of substances. The User
Products Security Commission recently found “no incontestable
health risk” from vinyl toys for children.
* Despite what you power have heard, you cannot spoil a baby by tending to her in the middle of the night, or by taking her out of the crib for feeding. The truth is you cannot spoil a baby, and in fact, you are providing several safety and comfort once
you answer their time of day
cries.
* Another story
is that you can’t use plastics in the microwave oven. If the manufacturer says it’s okay to microwave the plastic, then go ahead and do so. But, be careful just about the temperature of the food. There are hot spots in microwaved food and you don’t want to burn the inside of your baby’s mouth.
Parents have to be really careful wherever
they get their information. The Cyberspace can be a great source, but you have to be skeptical. There are a lot of nice resources on the Web, but there is as well a lot of misinformation. The better proposal
is to get a nice medical specialist who can help you sort through all the “advice” just about your children’s care that comes your way.
