E-book Title: What You Should Know About Gum Disease
Author: David Snape
Book Description: Heal Your Gums, Stop Gum Recession, Stop the Progression of Gum Disease, Stop Your Gums from Bleeding, Save Your Teeth and Money!

I want to tell you a life changing story that could completely alter how you take care of your teeth and gums. If you value your teeth and overall dental health, if you want to avoid painful and expensive periodontal treatments, this is worth a couple minutes of your time.

Don't Let What Happened to Me Happen to You!

Like most people, I always took good care of my teeth-or at least I thought so. I went to the dentist a couple of times a year for a professional cleaning. I brushed regularly. I flossed. But I always experienced a little bit of bleeding. No big deal, I thought.

But that all changed on one trip to the dentist, when she dropped a bomb on me! "You have gum disease," she said. "If you have time today, you need a root planing and scaling treatment." Maybe you can imagine my reaction ... "What?" One minute, I'm thinking everything is all fine and routine-and the next minute, my dentist wants to schedule me for this painful and costly procedure!

Root planing and scaling is an arduous treatment that takes a lot of time, a lot of pain, and a lot of local anesthetic. I was so shocked that I refused, and left the dentist's office with a drive to seek out more information. I remember walking out the door thinking, "I thought everything was fine..."

Up to 80% of Adults Have Gum Disease. Chances are that You are among Them.

I was upset about having this earth-shattering revelation dumped on me at the dentist's office, so I went home and immediately set out researching gum disease. I didn't want to lose my teeth! And I admit, up until this point, I thought a little bit of bleeding was normal.

I Was Wrong....

Any sign of bleeding during brushing, flossing, dental probing or professional cleaning is a sign of gum disease! Many people don't know that. Chances are, your dentist isn't educating you about prevention. Think about it. Has your dentist ever once talked you about ways to prevent gum disease or how common it is? Some do. But the majority, in my experience, do not. My problem had existed for years, without me ever knowing about it. And up until that fateful day, I went along my merry way thinking everything was OK.

Don't let this happen you! For less than the price of a single dental office visit, I'm going to share with you some information that could save you hundreds if not thousands of dollars-not to mention a LOT of pain. If I had only known a fraction of the information you'll have, I could have saved myself a lot of money, trouble, and gum tissue. But first, I want to talk a bit about gum disease and gingivitis.

The #1 Cause of Tooth Loss Worldwide is NOT Tooth Decay!

That's right! Most people think tooth decay is the biggest problem with their teeth. But guess what? Gum disease, which starts out as gingivitis but eventually turns into far more serious periodontal disease, is far and away the most common cause of tooth loss. Up until I started digging for this information, I knew nothing about gingivitis and gum disease, except what I had been "taught" by TV commercials.

Gingivitis or gum disease is caused by bacteria in your mouth. You can't get rid of those germs forever; they're just a fact of life as a human being. These bacteria feed upon the same things we do, literally the things we eat and drink. They hide in all the little nooks and crannies inside your mouth, even below the gum line. When you brush, you clean out some of those germs, but you can't reach all of them.

As these bacteria feed upon the things we eat and drink, they leave behind waste products that harm our tooth enamel and gum tissue. They join with other substances in our mouths to form plaque. When this plaque hardens it becomes tartar. The bacteria living in the plaque or tartar can build up below the gum line, our gums become red and irritated. This is the origin of gum disease.

If this condition is allowed to continue, eventually the gums start to pull away from the teeth, and because they're irritated, they bleed when we brush and floss. When gums recede beyond a certain point, the teeth lose their support and begin to loosen. In the worst cases, you lose bone that supports your teeth and gums. If this is left unchecked, your teeth could become loose and even come out. This leaves you with the unpleasant choice between implants and dentures. Don't let this happen. You can stop it. Not a Pleasant Scenario, Right?

The Progression of Gum Disease Can Be Stopped!

But you need to know a few things beyond just brushing and flossing to make sure you can stop it and then keep it away.

So it's likely that you have already developed gum disease-unknowing, unsuspecting. A day might soon come when your dentist tells you that you need an expensive and painful treatment-or worse! And you might be thinking then, "Why didn't you tell me how to stop it!" Maybe you're even avoiding the dentist, afraid of what he's going to tell you. Many people do. You're not alone. It seems like the majority of dentists do not educate their patients about gingivitis or gum disease until after things become bad and they want to treat you for it. Perhaps they are too busy seeing patients to talk about prevention. They are busy.

About 2% of the population can't prevent gum disease no matter how hard they try because of a variety of factors. On the other end of the spectrum is another 2% that never show any signs of gum disease, no matter how poorly they care for their teeth and gums. Most of us, up to 96%, fall in between those two ends.

Avoid Making the Hard Choice Between Dentures and Implants Save Your Teeth in the First Place!

I admit it. I'm not a dentist or a dental hygienist. I have no vested interest in keeping you coming back to my office for regular checkups and cleanings. But I do have a pile of information that your dentist hasn't told you! And you'll find this information to be very valuable.

In fact, it could very well save you thousands of dollars in treatments and dental work, and priceless amounts of pain. Don't wait until it's too late! Take care of your gums now, in order to avoid regrets later.

Of course, there are tons of professionals out there who would be happy to step in and administer expensive treatments. But what if you could eliminate the need for those expensive treatments altogether by doing better maintenance at home?

Now, I'm not going to tell you something silly like "brush your teeth ten times a day and floss after every meal." That's just not realistic for busy people like you and me. I'm here to offer you real solutions-from real experience-that take only minimal extra time. Brushing and flossing are important, but they're not enough to solve the problem. If they were, up to 80% of Americans wouldn't be walking around with gum disease.

Your Dentist Will Be Amazed!

After tons of effort at accumulating this important and sensible information, I took it upon myself to start taking care of my teeth and gums in a different way. And the results were astonishing!

I went back to my dentist after a couple of months of implementing these tools and techniques, and she was amazed. My gums no longer bled-not at all-and there was no sign of gum disease. She and the hygienist agreed that I no longer needed the root scaling and planing treatment. The hygienist actually said, "There is no longer any tartar build up under the gum line, and no bleeding during probing." I just smiled.

I was ecstatic! I also realized that this information and these techniques could help people everywhere, people just like you. So I wrote a book, What You Should Know About Gum Disease. This short but powerful volume tells you what you should know about how your mouth works, and how to keep it healthy, and I'm offering to share this information with you.

What You Should Know About Gum Disease!

In this informative e-book, you will learn:
  • What causes gum disease - Discover what causes gum disease and how simple it is to fight it. You might be relieved to learn that things might not be as bad you think. Even though the problem can be simple to solve, failure to take action won't improve your situation. Knowledge is power, and acting on that power will make your life better.
  • What you need to know about professional care - You'll learn which type of professional is the most qualified and experienced to give you the best assistance with your gum health. (Hint: It is probably not your dentist!) And you will feel better knowing that you can tell the difference.
  • What type of tools will help you with home care - Home care is important, and regular brushing and flossing are usually not going to be enough to stop the progression of gum disease or gingivitis. You'll learn about simple tools that can help you fight off gum disease and keep it away.
  • What is Reversible Pulpitis - The dentist says you have a cavity. Is this a reversible or irreversible situation? Learn why sometimes you may not need to have your tooth 'drilled and filled.' This can save you money, hassle, time and pain. One dentist scolded me and said this was really called 'arrested carries'! LOL, they never told you that term either, did they?
  • What is periodontal surgery - This is the last-ditch effort to save your teeth and gums. I'll tell you what to expect and what to avoid, if you can.
  • How to make your gums healthy ... and keep them that way!

Help Yourself AND the People You Love!

Chances are pretty high (80%!) that you know someone who can benefit from this information, too. That's why you need this book. For less than the cost of a single dinner, you can save you and your family a lot of pain, stress, and money.

Like I said, I'm not a dental health professional. I'm an independent person who found the surprising answers to my problem, and now I want to share those answers with you, because I think you should have them. I'm not trying to keep you coming into my office for checkups and treatments.

Everything in this book comes from personal, real-world experience and personal research.

Your Dentist Should Know a Lot about Gum Disease!
Why isn't she telling YOU?

You can benefit from my experience and save yourself the heartache and financial distress of doing things the hard way. You will have answers that you need.

But not everyone has the courage to deal with this right now, to face it, and take control of their dental health. This book is for people who know that their teeth and gums are precious, those who have the courage to face an unpleasant reality and deal with it now. This book is also for those who love someone who needs to fix this problem.
