This book was originally printed in 1933, when Bobby Jones first started working with A.G. Spalding & Co. on the first set of matched clubs. These clubs were designed to have the superior feel of hand-crafted Scottish clubs but were mass produced in the U.S. These sets were the first to use the numbering scheme we still find on clubs today...replacing the traditional Scottish names like niblic and mashie.
The Rights and Wrongs of Golf was included with each set Spalding sold. Bobby Jones had not only given us the tools to play spectacular golf but the instruction manual to his championship swing.
The amazing part about Bobby's success is that he was able to accomplish his greatness while playing no more than the average weekend golfer. He averaged around 80 rounds of golf per year and played almost exclusively in national championships, electing to pass on the smaller tournaments.
This book also includes 28 pages of illustrations demonstrating his keys to success.
These rare books sell for well over $200...if you can even find one. I was lucky enough to find a copy with the green leather cover and it is now the centerpiece of my growing golf book collection.
I have enjoyed it so much I can't wait to share it with my fellow golf addicts. This is your chance to have your own copy of this lost treasure for a fraction of the cost.
