Having given advice and guidance to friends over the years and having seen them achieve their own career goals, I decided to share my experience and knowledge with anyone else who wants to get ahead and also those perhaps taking their first steps into professional life. This was the basis for writing the ebook.
My name is Dan Couzens and for over ten years I have worked in recruitment capacity for a number of well known organisations including Siemens, EDS, Lucent Technology and other successful global companies. I have worked with business managers in the hiring of thousands of individuals into all sort of jobs in the UK and abroad.
I started out in the recruitment business as a head-hunter and then moved to in-house roles as part of the various organisations' HR departments. I have held both UK and international roles, overseeing recruitment activity across all functions, levels of seniority and across various industry sectors.
Over the years, I must have reviewed tens of thousands of CVs and conducted hundreds of interviews. However, it never fails to suprise me that so many people are so badly equiped when it comes to job hunting, applications and interviewing.
I often discuss these issues with colleagues and other recruitment professionals and I am now bringing all that information and experience together in one resource that people can access via this ebook.
