It took me over 15 years to compile the knowledge and wisdom contained in this book. Much of it came from my days as a top fitness model and international model when I had to stay in great shape despite having 3 kids and being constantly judged about how "fat my thighs were" or "that I was too short".
Most models smoked cigarettes, drank alcohol and vomited to stay skinny. They were walking time bombs and worse, they looked like crap after a few years. Nope, that WAS NOT for me. I learned how to deal with people's harsh criticism's without affecting my self esteem.

You see, you and I are a lot alike in many ways. I remember years ago pretending everything was ok with my body, but barely getting by, losing sleep and wondering what to do next.
My energy level was pitifully low. I was eating a diet filled with crap, starvation and fast-foods.
And in addition to this, I had a bad self-image.
You see, growing up I was a pudgy little kid ashamed of myself with a low self image. It was so bad that I used to hide in the cabinet eating cookies because I wanted to escape the judgment of others.
I remember when my self esteem got squashed like grape - I was at a friend's house and her mother was making a sandwich for her. I asked if I could have one and she looked wryly at me and said "looks like YOU don't need one".
I remember those words so vividly because they hurt me deeply.
I was a little girl that wanted to be loved and appreciated for who I was on the inside. Instead I got a harsh dose of someone's unfair judgment. At that moment I convinced myself that I had to be skinny to be loved.
So I became a fanatic. I starved myself. I ate sporadically. I was obsessed about how I looked and I was incredibly insecure. Sure I looked good on the outside, but on the inside I didn't have energy.
I was fatigued. Feeling guilty every time I ate. Craved and secretly ate junk food.
...every time I looked in the mirror, every brain cell was SCREAMING, "BARBARA, YOU ARE SO FAT!!!"
I had a major crisis on my hands that I needed to fix. On the inside I knew I had to change or I would die young. Or worse, I would start looking old one day and I would never be beautiful.
That all shifted several years ago when I did 3 significant things in my life - I got clear on what I wanted
- Changed my diet
- Changed my exercise
