It is now that you have to start listening and working with your body in finding the optimum activity level and type. This may vary from one day to the next. A singular type of exercise may be more appropriate than another on a particular day. Start by doing very little, then very gradually try and build up to either longer periods or extent of exercise, all the time assessing your body's responses. Pain can indicate that you have been overdoing either exercise or other activities, so take heed if this applies and rest. Ignoring the pain or attempting to push through a pain barrier is not wise for CFS/FM sufferers as this is not the pain that affects fit athletes. Accept that this will happen from time to time; give into your body for a little while so it can recuperate. Don't ever knowingly overdo it - you do not need yet more pain! Essential oils that are used to promote relaxation and sleep include lavender, geranium, chamomile and mandarin - vary the ones you use, not just one night after night. These oils can be used singly, or with each other. Keep it simple, though - two or three oils at the most, and just a few drops in total. Try 5 drops in a bath, 2-3 drops in a burner bowl of water in the bedroom. If a bath requires more effort than you can find with CFS/FM or if you do not have a bath, treat your feet to a footbath with just 2-3 drops of essential oil added.
