The big revelation hit me hard! It was nothing I had learned in massage school. No one ever told me that I would have to work this hard day after day, year after year just to earn $35K after taxes and expenses. All I heard in massage school was that I could earn $60 per hour. That sounded good to me. When I ran the numbers ($60/hour x 40 massages/week x 50 weeks - two weeks vacation = $120K before taxes/expenses) I was excited. When reality hit all I could think of was, "now what"?
