E-book Category: Animals E-book Title: Malama Book Description: spiritual adventure for the protection of the whales and dolphins and all living creatures in the vastness of the oceans.
This book is a story about a woman having lived her life through ups and downs, discovering in her later years that there is more in life than just the passing of the years, birth and death.
The first time she had come to Hawaii was only for whale watching. But then she fell in love with the Aloha Spirit of the Islands. Her first close encounter with a dolphin changed her life. She already had experienced her body as energy and now she uses this ability to get in contact with the Humpback whales of Hawaii. Together they find ways to sabotage the activities of the whalers in the Southern Pacific and to persuade these tough and hardened men to stop the slaughter. They fight without arms, always in danger themselves, but the higher vibration of thought and the love and caring they communicate, are weapons of much greater impact than any man-made tool.
The author has been many times on the Islands of Hawaii, has swum with the Hawaiian Spinner dolphins and experienced amazing proofs of communication with them. She is very interested in the Hawaiian culture and language. For years she had studied the Humpback whales and swam with them in the Caribbean Sea. Her overwhelming experience to swim with a whale mum and her baby in complete trust and mutual confidence is mirrored in this novel.
Whales, these mystic Creatures... Roaming the oceans already long before mankind had come to live on this planet, whales still are the symbol of wisdom. They know the oceans and are guided by the unseen magnetic fields. They find their way over thousands of miles through the dark deep sea to their destination with an astonishing exactitude. In their natural habitat their only predator can be the orca, but man is their greatest enemy.
Man has hunted them for hundreds of years. In the past it was a heroic combat to bring home food and all the necessary materials for the survival of the clan, a fight of men in fragile vessels against the towering power of these huge animals. Nowadays, with the help of modern techniques, the once equal chances of success or escape, life or death for man and whale, have changed. The overwhelming superiority of human technology has signed the death verdict for the most ancient being living on our planet.
Three countries only, Japan, Norway and Iceland, still feel free to decide over life or extinction for this species. They are helped by other countries, out of their own volition or bought for their voice. Whaling is not needed anymore for the survival of these nations, but it is perpetrated for reasons of money, power and some old traditions. Our future, the future of our children and children's children, the future of our beautiful planet, lies in their hands.
Very few people really know these marvelous beings and far too many are influenced by literature, movies and horror books. Time has come where we have to demonstrate our conviction and desire to preserve the diversity of life on our planet. Man can not survive without nature, nature always will. More... |
