Hi, I'm Pam Lyon, a 25-year veteran in Medical Transcription, and in one of the last major recessions (oh, a long time ago now) I found myself in this same situation -- uneasy, stressed, curious, and looking for something better than what I had.
At the time, I was fortunate enough to "stumble into" the field, not knowing what I'd found, and since then I've never had to worry a day about whether I was going to lose my job when the economy turned sour. I know that I'll always have a job when I get up in the morning.
