About the Author
R.E.(Bob)Robb has been boating since childhood, is a past Commodore, holds a U.S.Coast Guard 100-ton Master's License, has been honored as a Yachtsman of The Year by the Los Angeles/Long Beach Association of Yacht clubs, and is a winner of the prestigious Harry Briaatin Perpetual Trophy. He has written an advertising guide, Love, Money and Other Persuasive Words, illustrated another author's book, and recently completed his first action/adventure novel, The Golden Scimitar, now in book stores.
Robb has been Burgee Magazine's editor since its first issue in 1973. In this book of stories from that magazine, you will find historical information and excerpts from Burgee Magazine's monthly editorial column, Captain's Gig by Bob Robb, a timely adjunct written with irreverent humor that will bring back memories or give you insight into the early days of pleasure boating in Southern California.
