My study of Holistic Medicine led me to insights about what needs to be done to restore health to individuals as well as restoring health to our society. Becoming healthy requires becoming whole again. Our western approach to duality is competition whereas the eastern approach is to seek harmony. The consequences of our approach to duality are enormous. Our choice of competition has led to a war model in most everything we do. We have a war on drugs, a war against disease, wars against crime and violence and now a war against terror. This is a direct consequence of our choice of competition as our means of problem resolution. In health care, for example, we could treat (attack) disease or we could prevent it. With a competitive model these become mutually exclusive ideas. Scientists have concluded that treatment is better, therefore very little attention is given to prevention. In a similar analysis, our leaders will be willing to spend billions to fight terrorism but they will not spend one moment to entertain the thought that it might be prevented.

Individual people cannot be healthy without a healthy society. Good government is the critical factor in social health. In a representative government, the people are responsible for the actions of government.

There are only two forms of government.

1). Government of the elite used to control the people or

2). Government of the people, by the people and for the people.

Our current leaders are seeking to create a centrally controlled Empire. They have given up on the idea of representative government; they have abandoned the American Ideal and they are working to undermine the U.S. constitution. We are now at the final crossroad that president Lincoln alluded to when he said "testing whether this nation or any nation so conceived can long endure".
