If this sounds like you then we have something in common. This is the situation I faced a few years back. I had very little grass growth, a yard full of weeds, and bare spots everywhere. I was on the verge of giving up when I discovered some groundbreaking, easy to use techniques that took us from having the worst yard on the block to one where we were getting compliments from all of our neighbors, with some even coming to me for lawn care advise! In fact, one neighbor went as far as to tell me I had a yard full of "green gold"!

Where most books and sites concentrate on a certain topic, I'm going to cover all areas that are related to lawn care. Not just what the different grass types are, or the best practice for watering. We're going to start from the ground level, build a solid foundation, and work our way up from there.

- From there we'll discuss some questions and decisions you need to make before going out and picking a grass
- What's the deal with soil? We'll take an in-depth study of what makes up soil, what you should look for, and how you can test to make sure it's the best that it can be.
- Once we have a better understanding of just what exactly grass is, and we've answered some important questions and made some important decisions, and our soil is all ready to go, we'll discuss the many different grass options that you have available to choose from.
- Grass is now picked out...what's the best method for planting? We'll take into consideration time, money and convenience.
- Grass is planted, time to start a good maintenance program, we'll discuss the myths of watering...when is the best time to water? How much should you water? What's the best way to water?
- With the growth of grass comes the nuisance of weeds. We'll look into some ways to help prevent weeds from taking hold of your lawn along with some ways to rid yourself of weeds that may already be invading your lawn.
- Watering schedule is in place, weeds are under control, so let's take a look at how we can best encompass fertilizing into the schedule. What should I look for in a fertilizer? When should I fertilize? Just what exactly are the benefits of fertilizing?
- With the great watering and fertilizing schedule that you have in place, you'll get the benefits of a nice, thick, green lawn. How do I contain this bad boy? What's the best practice for mowing? Should I mow in different directions? How much should I cut off each time I mow? How often should I mow?
- Basic plan is in place, we'll discuss how aerating can help finish off the foundation that we've built. What is aerating? What are the benefits?
- Finally, you'll be provided with additional free companion books where we will discuss how to keep the pests and diseases away from your yard and learn some neat concepts on how best to keep man's best friend from damaging your yard!
No PHD is needed to read and understand
I know what you're probably thinking by now. I've seen other lawn care sites, or have read other lawn care articles, and I'm usually scratching my head afterwards trying to figure out what I just read. Was that written in Ancient Greek? No worries here. I'm with you on this one. Here you'll find a ton of information that's presented to you, but it's presented in a way that is easy to read, easy to follow, and easy to reference later on. No PHD, No memorization and No head scratching is needed.
As you read the information and put what you learn into practice, you'll discover what concepts work for you. You'll also find that in situations that you're not exactly sure how to handle, the information in this book can easily be referenced to give you the facts that you need as quickly as possible!
