Being overweight and out of shape isn't only unhealthy, it affects us emotionally as well. There is nothing worse than feeling uncomfortable in your own skin. When you sit down, your fat folds over your pants. You can't remember the last time you didn't have to wear your waistband below your belly button. You sigh with disappointment when you glance in the mirror, or avoid looking altogether. Here is the good news. Being overweight isn't your fault.
You and your body have very different agendas. You want to look great for those sleeveless shirts and fit into the pants you had when you were 20. Your body has one goal: Survive.
The difference between your agenda and your body's agenda is what makes your natural instincts on how to lose weight WRONG. Most people decrease their food intake (diet) and increase their cardiovascular workouts. YOUR BODY HATES THIS AND WILL START TO HOARD BODY FAT FOR FUEL.
I have seen this a thousand times. Living this frustration myself and seeing others live it is what inspired me to create this book. You don't have to starve yourself to succeed. In fact, you don't even have to give up your favorite foods (pizza, fries, candy, chocolate). You don't have to exercise 2 hours a day to have a great body.
