After watching and feeding birds for several weeks, months or even years, you begin to recognize some of the same birds or families that visit annually. We forget about our hectic day-to-day pace while watching the birds eat and bathe. Their life seems so free of hassle we wish ours could be more like theirs. They go about their business of eating in peace, without any fuss and a song.

- The birds are everywhere, so getting into the hobby of watching and feeding them is easy.
Anybody can watch birds, from any location in the world - the park, a Nature Center, your own house or a friend's. Having feeders in your yard will gain you more regular visitors.

Viewing birds from a park or Nature Center is free. From your own house, you can spend money on one feeder or twenty. The type and quality of seeds purchased can cost a few dollars or fifty. There are no minimum requirements to begin.
